What to expect
Clear advice, not a rushed transaction.
Who may qualify
Eligibility can relate to your age, education status, diagnosed eye or health conditions, family glaucoma risk, qualifying benefits or an NHS low-income certificate. The rules are detailed and can change, so we recommend checking current NHS guidance or speaking to the practice rather than assuming.
What to bring
Bring your current glasses, a list of medication and any previous optical prescription you have. You may also need evidence supporting your NHS eligibility. The team can tell you which details apply when you book.
- Current glasses or contact lens details
- Relevant benefit or certificate information
- Medication and eye-health history
- Hospital letters or previous prescriptions, if relevant
NHS help with glasses
Some eligible patients may also receive an NHS optical voucher towards glasses or contact lenses. Voucher value and eligibility are set by the NHS. We will explain how any valid voucher applies before you choose your eyewear.
